If you take the time to understand your audience, you can write engaging content that your customers will want to read. Creating content that matches your customer’s common searches or answers the intent of the query not only ranks well but attracts the type of reader that will be interested in your products or services, making them more likely to subscribe.
Call to Action
When you design a website, you want it to advertise your business; it isn’t just for decoration, you want your visitors to take some sort of action. Be it downloading content, filling in a contact form or giving your business a call. Each piece of content should have one clear call to action, any more than that and it can appear desperate.
If your call to action is clear, then the benefits should be apparent to the user. Lightboxes are a great resource to increase your subscriptions; they are becoming more and more popular on all sorts of different websites. More than just a pop-up, a lightbox advertises the benefits of a subscription, for example, free tips or monthly downloads. If you find that your customers are commonly asking the same question, consider providing a simple answer as a taster and provide more detail to readers that subscribe.
Your website’s design should be relevant to your readers, get to know your target audience, their likes, dislikes, and interests. All of this will help you to understand how your typical customer makes their journey and comes to the decision to make a purchase (or not!). Don’t cram every page full of pop-ups trying to convert customers, keep it simple.
Types of content
There are several different kinds of content, by creating various types of content you can interact with different audiences. Sometimes, the most effective way to get share information isn’t to write long, wordy articles. Consider using infographics or videos, a lot of people find information easier to digest when it is explained with images. Using case studies can add to your credibility.
