Writing blogs and articles is a great way to increase traffic and hopefully generate more conversions. However, some types of content are more successful than others, make sure you are investing in content that is engaging and unique.

Use case studies

Case studies are an excellent way to stand out; you have an experience that no one else can talk about. Talking about a situation where your product or service was used to achieve a good result for a client will gain the trust of potential clients and showcase your expert knowledge of your industry. Don’t be afraid to promote your articles, use social media and email marketing to create awareness.

Keep up with trends

Evergreen content is great to attract new customers but to keep these clients engaged then you may want to consider reporting on any latest industry news or upcoming trends. Clients will most likely be searching for this information, or they will find it of interest. By writing about latest trends, readers will trust your knowledge, and you can increase engagement with other articles too.

Use video

A lot of people are afraid to publish video, but it can be a highly effective tool. It doesn’t require as much skill or work as you may first think, with most computers having inbuilt cameras and video editing software being very straight forward to use. A video forms a personal connection with the visitor; it allows you to speak about your product or service confidently. If you don’t want to rely on a video solely, you could write an article and use the video to support your point. For example, if you have written about how your product solves a problem, use a video to show the product in action.

Educate

If you are an expert in your industry, you can use your powers for good. By educating your audience, you will be thought of as an authority on the subject and clients will come to you for further advice or even purchase your product/service because you have built a certain level of trust with them. Consider writing white papers, review new products, explain how to use an individual product (use video for this) or talk about how your product solves a problem. Articles like this are a softer way of advertising your business it’s a great alternative to the usual “Why you should buy or product” blog.
